Niagara Escarpment Plan
Approved by Cabinet in 1985 and revised in 1994, 2005 and 2017, the Niagara Escarpment Plan is Canada’s first large-scale environmental land use plan.

Niagara Escarpment Parks and Open Space System
The Niagara Escarpment Parks and Open Space System consists of more than 163 park sand open spaces on public land owned and/or managed by conservation authorities, municipalities, Ontario Parks, Royal Botanical Gardens, the Bruce Trail Conservancy, Ontario Heritage Trust, Parks Canada and other conservation organizations capable of managing land in the public interest.
